New chef jobs may be created in Wales if a Michelin-starred chef finds a new venue to open in Cardiff.
Martin Blunos, who has two Michelin stars, has worked at the Crown Social at Parc Hotel since March this year but is to part ways with Thistle Hotels, the owner of the hotel, and open a new venture in the town, Wales Online reported.
He, along with Crown Hotels and Restaurants, is aiming to open a new eatery which would create chef jobs in the Welsh capital and help to provide locals with fine cuisine.
Jonathan Davies, director of Monmouthshire-based Crown Hotels and Restaurants, told the news provider: "The venture at The Parc Hotel with Thistle was a rewarding experience for us both. However, we now feel it is the right time to move on and grasp the opportunity to relocate a Crown restaurant at a new premises within the city."
Meanwhile, Premier Inn will create new hotel jobs in north Wales if plans to expand a venue in Caernarfon are approved.
The budget hotel chain has submitted proposals to increase the size of the Premier Inn at Victoria Dock by adding 46 more rooms, the Daily Post reports.
