Catering professionals looking for sous chef jobs in Wales may soon have the chance to work in a kitchen boasting one of the world's most prestigious industry accolades.
The Checkers restaurant in Montgomery, Powys, has received a Michelin star and praise in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2012, WalesOnline reports.
Stephane Borie, who trained with legendary chef Michel Roux, said he was "shell-shocked" but delighted when he heard that his venture had been recognised.
"It has required a tremendous amount of teamwork to get into the guide and we are all thrilled," he told the news provider.
The Checkers is one of four Welsh restaurants to have been awarded a Michelin star this year, meaning people seeking sous chef jobs in Wales have a number of excellent opportunities to consider.
Meanwhile, budget hospitality chain Premier Inn recently announced plans to boost hotel recruitment in Wales when it opens a new site in the Vale of Glamorgan next year.
