River Restaurant in Dartmouth set to open

Sous chef jobs and other catering positions could become available in Dartmouth, Devon, through plans to redevelop the Dart Marina hotel, which will incorporate a new 90-cover restaurant.

The Devon hotel is planning to open the new establishment to diners in spring of this year. It will just form a part of the major £1 million redevelopment project, which also includes the establishment of 14 new guest rooms.

Split over two floors, the new restaurant will focus on locally-sourced, fresh produce and offer views over the nearby river Dart.

Dart Marina manager Paul Downing said the investment is "part of our ongoing commitment to maintain the highest standards for our guests and to ensure that the hotel is positioned to offer exceptional hospitality for many years to come".

The establishment will be closed for a short time at the end of January while construction work is carried out on the project.

A health club, spa and fitness suite are already in place at the hotel, which is conveniently placed for sailing and other nautical activities.
